Weatherization Works for Ms. Oxendine

Eva Oxendine of Pembroke, North Carolina, was surprised to find a letter in the mail about her energy usage. According to the notice from Duke Energy, her home was using more energy than her neighbors'. She reached out to Action Pathways Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) to learn more. After an initial home inspection, WAP staff developed a plan to improve the efficiency, health and comfort of her home. Weatherization staff replaced the pre-existing inefficient windows, sealed the areas around the doors to prevent air leakages, and installed new central heating and air.
